H&R Block launches New Grant to Support Women Owners

In order to assist and support women with small businesses, a new grant program has been launched by Block Advisors by H&R Block entitled as ‘Fund Her Future’. The announcement has been made with its on-going celebration of National Small Business Month that sights at addressing the challenges women generally face when getting funding and support they need.

The grant shall be giving $100,000 in total to 5 Women-led small businesses while the winners will get business services for a year from Block Advisors including taxes aid, bookkeeping, payroll, and so forth.

H&R Block’s Chief Strategy and Small Business Officer, Jamil Khan speaks about the growth of businesses that are owned and run by women stating, “Women’s businesses have been growing almost twice as fast as men’s over the last five years.”

Additionally, he even denounced some of the points, women business owners face that includes getting loans and low-income rate and specifically indicated towards women of colour.

He added, “With immediate access to capital, resources, and trusted expertise, we’re confident these women entrepreneurs will significantly grow their businesses and impact their communities.”

The businesses have to be owned by women in addition to having atleast 51 per cent ownership to their business in order to participate in the program. All the participants should be operating from US only. The last date of the application is May 26, 2024.
