'Women in Business' Event to be Conducted by Opp Chamber

The inaugural edition of the Women In Business Luncheon and Silent Purse Auction has been announced by the Opp and Covington County Area Chamber of Commerce. Scheduled to be held on Saturday, May 4, the event will begin at 11 a.m. and go up to 1 p.m. It is to be held at the Opp Chamber Community Room, located on Covington Avenue.

SFG extends Swerve Elevation Scholarship for Women Entrepreneurs

Swerve Financial Group (SFG) requests women entrepreneurs to come forward and apply for Swerve (HER) Elevation Scholarship, which has been established to provide women-led startups with the necessary assistance they need to take the next step. This scholarship is a $10,000 sum that will cover the entire cost of the Women Elevating Women Cohort Program which is of a special nature.

An online community, the BOSS Network alongside Sage has announced the 2024 ‘Invest in Progress’ Grant’s 25 awardees. The program has been launched to assist Black women entrepreneurs in their first 5 years of business.

FCI launches New Project for Rural Women's Land Conflicts

Foundation for Community Initiatives (FCI) has launched a new project entitled ‘Enhancing peace and social cohesion through the promotion of equitable access to and use of land for rural women in conflict-prone communities and concession areas’, at Corina Hotel in Monrovia’s Sinkor, on April 14, 2024. The launch event was attended by the stakeholders of the firm as well.

SMEDAN launches Business Pitch Competition for Women-led Businesses

A new initiative ‘SMEDAN Speed Pitch’ has been announced by Small and Medium Enterprises Development Agency of Nigeria (SMEDAN). The 1st edition of the competition shall take place at Eko Convention Center in Lagos on May 1, 2024. It will be hosted by the Senior Special Assistant to the President on Entrepreneurship and Innovation/Digital Economy, Engr. Jennifer Adighije as part of the NSME Engagement Series.
