'Women in Business' Event to be Conducted by Opp Chamber

The inaugural edition of the Women In Business Luncheon and Silent Purse Auction has been announced by the Opp and Covington County Area Chamber of Commerce. Scheduled to be held on Saturday, May 4, the event will begin at 11 a.m. and go up to 1 p.m. It is to be held at the Opp Chamber Community Room, located on Covington Avenue. 

The upcoming event has been designed for all women in general, irrespective of their vocation or stature. Be it female business owners, women employees, or women leaders from within their community, they can be a part of the event. Participation in the event is free of charge. Chamber officials have invited everyone to contribute in their capacities by donating a purse for the silent auction.

The attendees will be provided with lunch. The event is expected to foster an atmosphere of camaraderie and empowerment among all women.  All proceeds from the silent auction will be donated to Bethesda House.

Extending an invite to all, Joni Lolley the Executive Administrator of Opp and Covington County Chamber of Commerce, said, “Come join us as we celebrate and honor the remarkable women who contribute to the vibrancy and success of our community.
