Business Opportunities Galore for Pakistani Women Entrepreneurs at 'Blue Fair'

The 10th edition of ‘Blue Fair’, a two-day event that focuses on providing opportunities to Pakistani women entrepreneurs to exhibit their products at a national level began in Multan. Held at the Railways Club, the event was inaugurated by Former Senator Nilofar Bakhtiar, and WCCI Patron-in-Chief, Begum Farrukh Mukhtar.                     

This year’s Blue Fair is showcasing over 100 stalls including handmade garments, jewellery, furniture, blue pottery and other items. The annual event is seeing participation from noted women including Fatima Fazal, Mian Amir Naseem, Farah Faisal, Tahira Najum, Yasmeen Bokhari, Seerat Fatima,Tehmina Munir etc.            

Giving the inaugural address, Nilofar Bakhtiar highlighted the importance of empowering women in Pakistan for the progress and prosperity of the entire nation. She also acknowledged the exceptional arrangements made at the Blue Fait and extended congratulations to the president of women’s chamber of commerce and industry Multan (WCCIM) Mahnaz Amir Sheikh and her team on conducting the event successfully.

Mahnaz Amir Sheikh also spoke at the event and reiterated that the annual event provides great opportunity to female entrepreneurs to shine at a national level. She expressed her joy at seeing the overwhelming response of the families who visited on the first day of the event.                     

Ms Sheikh also said that the event is a great event for families looking to shop for Ramzan and Eid, while stressing on the wide variety of products being showcased at the annual event. She hoped for a strong turnout on the second day of the event too.
