Mariana Matus

Mariana Matus is the CEO and co-founder of Biobot Analytics, a wastewater epidemiology company in the United States. Mariana is a PhD holder in computational biology and systems biology which she earned from Massachusetts Institute of Technology in the year 2018. Besides having a PhD, she specializes in Epidemiology in addition to Computational Biology.

Before her PhD completion, Mariana established her company Biobot Analytics alongside urban scientist Newsha Ghaeli in 2017. She owns the world’s first company that specifically studies sewage with molecular technologies and Artificial Intelligence so that they can give early warning of population health threats throughout the world.
