The Private Equity Women Investor Network (PEWIN) has named Emily Mendell as its new Executive Director on October 3, 2023 ushering in a new era for senior-level female private equity investing professionals.
Ms. Emily will supervise day-to-day operations and steer long-term initiatives, bringing three decades of expertise in venture capital and private equity.
She offers a lot of experience from her leadership roles at the National Venture Capital Association (NVCA), the Institutional Limited Partners Association (ILPA), and Polaris Partners. She most recently served as CenterSquare Investment Management's Director of Marketing and Communications.
PEWIN represents over 1,000 senior women executives in over 30 countries, with programs such as Pinklight Programs, The PEWIN Foundation, and Toigo RISE advancing gender equality and supporting women in finance.
PEWIN's Board Chair, Dana Johns, praised Emily's professional experience and dedication to the organization's objective.
Emily Mendell succeeds Kirsty McGuire, PEWIN's first executive director from 2021 to 2023, who will continue to be engaged. PEWIN is prepared for rapid expansion, empowering women in finance throughout the world.

PEWIN unites decision-makers such as Managing Directors, Partners, Chief Investment Officers, and Senior Portfolio Managers, enabling networking and mutual assistance.
PEWIN represents institutions with over $3 trillion in assets under management (AUM). PEWIN Founder Kelly Williams stressed the organization's commitment to growing its influence over the next decade.
