A month-long, multi-channel campaign ‘Be the Expert in You’ has been launched by the maker of Oura Ring ‘ŌURA’ which is known to be the most accurate and trusted smart ring, on May 1, 2024, in honour of Women's Health Month.

The campaign is committed towards giving every woman's body a voice. In the month of May, the Finnish firm is going to introduce additional features, innovative studies as well as personal stories from both employees and members in order to promote body literacy for women of all age groups.

Oura’s product manager for women’s health, Dr. Neta Gotlieb expressed, “Female health conditions receive only one percent of global healthcare research funding, which has created a significant knowledge gap that hinders women from fully understanding basic information about their bodies. For example, a recent survey found that one in four women do not understand their menstrual cycle. Oura is uniquely positioned to be a critical partner for women to close this information gap and become experts in themselves through comprehensive data, personalized insights, and ongoing research on a variety of women's health topics.”

This new campaign indicated the firm’s dedication towards delivering products and research, designed and prepared for females in addition to providing holistic approach to health.

The firm has incorporated in numerous women’s health related investments that includes the Pregnancy Insights feature launch, fertility research publication with the University of California, Berkeley, and the first wearable integration with FDA-cleared birth control app Natural Cycles but this one is the most recent one.

Additionally, Oura’s chief product officer, Holly Shelton said, “Personal data can be an extremely validating tool for women who have irregular cycles, but until recently, it has not been widely accessible. Fifty-nine percent of women have sought treatment from doctors who did not believe them or ignored their needs, and our hope is that we can equip our members with the tools needed to advocate for themselves and their health.”
