Google releases a Doodle in honour of International Women's Day that shows women supporting one another. The Doodle features powerful women who support advancement on matters crucial to the lives of women everywhere. It also honours women who band together to research, educate, and advocate for their rights. Each letter of the word "GOOGLE" has stories that show women as the primary carers for individuals from all walks of life and as vital support systems for one another as mothers.

Doodle Artist Alyssa Winans, who was inspired by her own experiences and the idea of women supporting women, created the Doodle. Winans acknowledges the advice and help she has gotten from her older sisters as she thinks back on all the ways other women have helped her.

Winans also recognises the difficulties women have in juggling career and family obligations and the complexity of motherhood. One of the letters in the Doodle depicts two ladies nursing their infants as a reference to this experience.

The Doodle provides as a springboard for discussion of the expansive, intricate, deep, and potent idea of womanhood. It is a celebration of the global community of women who help one another in all facets of life. Google wishes everyone a Happy International Women's Day in recognition of these women.
