On May 20, 2024, Leland Tyler Wayne, globally-renowned music producer along with Rung for Women’s leaders have presented checks totalling $100,000 to 5 local nonprofit organisations. Leland Tyler grew up in St. Louis, known professionally as Metro Boomin.

The $100,000 fund shall benefit the on-going work of the recipients to upgrade women’s and children’s lives in the St. Louis area. ‘Almost Home’, ‘Diamond Diva Empowerment Foundation’, ‘The Haven of Grace’, ‘The Little Bit Foundation’, and ‘Parents as Teachers’ are amongst the organisations which are receiving $20,000.

Leland Tyler said, “I’ve seen firsthand the work that goes into being a single mother. Mine was my inspiration and my hero. It’s very important to me to pay it forward, because I see the same resilience and dedication in the women these organizations work with.”

Additionally, President of Rung, Leslie Gill added, “We are excited to partner with Metro Boomin in his work to lift up single mothers in St. Louis. Inspired by the remarkable love he has for his late mother; he is demonstrating a commitment to women and to our community.”

Moreover, amongst the total of grants, each grant shall go directly to individual women. This will help them and make their lives comparatively easier just by reducing debt or paying expenses that includes childcare, rent, and utilities.
