Capgemini Announces Women In Rugby Leadership Programme

World Rugby has come up again with the application opening of 2024/25 Capgemini Women In Rugby Leadership Programme. This program has been launched to support women in Rugby with 25 scholarships this year. The women who get the scholarships shall be benefited in the upcoming Women’s Rugby World Cup 2025. Capgemini has been a global partner with this program since 2022 and helps in providing valuable range of development opportunities, both personal and professional.

From 2018 till date, 73 scholarships have been given to women in rugby to support their talent and bring out their potential in leadership for the same. Usually 12 scholars annually, get the grant to accumulate their learning programs at Capgemini University but this year i.e., 2024/25 Capgemini Women In Rugby Leadership Programme shall provide grant to 25 leaders which will enable the scholars to be supported for a longer period of time.

World Rugby states, “The programme enables them to fulfil their potential and drives gender equity across the game with the overall aim of increasing the number of women in key leadership positions within rugby.”

Sally Horrox who’s the World Rugby Chief of Women’s Rugby said in her statement, “This important initiative, in partnership with Capgemini, is set to empower and elevate 25 remarkable female leaders who will shape the future of the sport.”

She added, “By promoting the programme and the application process more widely, we are fostering inclusivity and accessibility to fantastic resources, mentorship, and educational opportunities. We’re paving the way for these trailblazers to realise their full potential, driving gender equity, and growing opportunities for women in key positions in rugby.”
