In an unprecedented step, the California Alarm Association (CAA) proudly announces the formation of the Women In the Security Evolution (WISE) group, which will support the cause of women in all aspects of the security business. WISE, which was launched during the CAA 2023 Winter Convention, intends to empower and develop women in diverse professional areas in the field of electronic security.

WISE's purpose is founded on the pillars of equality, visibility, accessibility, and inclusion, and it stands out for its dedication to gender neutrality, inviting people of all backgrounds. The committee took center stage at the convention, taking part in important events such as the founder's meeting, an executive symposium panel, delivering a keynote address, and directing educational sessions.

Sean Cooke, President of CAA, expressed his delight for this significant milestone, noting, "The introduction of WISE represents a critical advancement for the CAA and the industry as a whole. WISE is well-positioned to help all of us take important steps toward inclusiveness and diversity.”

Cathy Rempel, Chair of CAA WISE, expressed her thanks and enthusiasm, underlining that WISE is not simply talking about change, but actually implementing it. Cathy sees WISE's actions and emphasis as evidence of the organization's dedication to improving the position of women in the security field. As the CAA strengthens its goal to advocate for the industry and provide reliable resources for safety and security, the future for women in security is brighter than ever.
