By: GWL Team | Tuesday, 30 May 2023

The launch of HIKITIA MAI, AIA NZ's new programme for women in leadership, was recently announced. 15 employees of the insurance participated in the six-month programme as part of its commitment to the advancement and retention of female leaders inside the company.

The participants will receive encouragement and assistance as they develop their professional brands and establish a clear sense of their personal and professional goals, according to a LinkedIn post. The ability to step up, volunteer, negotiate, and perform with the necessary confidence and resiliency as the sector evolves in a constantly changing environment will also be identified and developed by participants.

Along with the program's directors Jayne Chater and Sue Watson, Leaderful collaborated in its creation. In a post, Leaderful congratulated Susan Turcich, the AIA NZ's manager of learning and development, and Faye Sanderson, the organization's head of learning, for their contributions to the program's success.

"Susan Turcich, thank you very much for making this programme possible. We appreciate your cooperation and Faye Sanderson's confidence in us as we embark on this adventure with you and the accomplished women at AIA. We are better off working together”, Leaderful commented.

The NZ Disability Employers' Network recently presented the insurance with an accessibility award in honour of AIA NZ's dedication to accessibility, neurodiversity, and disability inclusion.
